Glenfarne takes National Title at Pride of Place Awards

Glenfarne is celebrating winning the top award in its category at the IPB Pride of Place Awards Ceremony which took place in Ennis on November 14th. The awards, run in association with Cooperation Ireland, acknowledge the work that communities are doing all over the island of Ireland.

Glenfarne was nominated in the Category of population of 250 or less and the village was commended for the Booleybrack Grouse and Glenfarne Railway Projects. On the day the judges were also very impressed with the renovation of the Ballroom of Romamce. The competition is organised locally in conjunction with Leitrim County Council.
